Getting Started
- Sign up for an account and log in.
- If you want to start your own Wiki pages, visit the EIANZ Wiki:Community Portal, click "edit" near the top of the page.
- Switch to the Rich Editor (see link above the button bar). This is similar to editing in Microsoft Word.
- If necessary enter a subheading (use Heading 2) and type the name of your first page. Highlight the name of your first page and click "insert/add link" (the icon that looks like a planet earth with a chain below it). Now enter the same page name as your link title.
- Click "Save page". This will take you to the page and you will see your page is now a link.
- Click on this link you just created and your page will be blank. You can now start editing it. Every new link you create from now on, will create a new page you can edit. Other people can also edit your pages, so keep an administrative watch on the content...or form your own groups to create content.
Note - you can upload images and PDFs. You link to these in a similar way to how you add a page link (see "image management", below). You can also use the References function to add citation lists to your pages and then link to PDFs you have uploaded, or external links you have used for reference.
